Beryl Wood is a founder member of C.A.H.E. She was the first Secretary and a recipient of a national award in her country, Trinidad and Tobago.
This award is a special non-service award of U.S. $1500.00 for candidates who are in the process of completing their Bachelors or Masters degree or Doctoral dissertation research and writing related to Home Economics.
Requirements
~ Be enrolled in Bachelors , Masters or Doctoral degree programme related to Home Economics at an accredited institution.
~ Have excellent academic record for current programme Grade B average in core courses.
~ Writing in the area of Home Economics

This scholarship was initiated in 1981. Dame Gwendolyn Tonge is a founder member of C. A. H. E., has served as President from 1977 to 1981 and has co-authored the C.A.H.E. text book series Caribbean Home Economics in Action.
The Scholarship is a non renewable stipend of U.S $3000.00 This is disbursed in two installments on a semester basis.

How To Apply
For CAHE members with four (4) consecutive years of membership
~ Must not be the current recipient of any other CAHE award in the same year.
~ Complete the standard application form
~ A statement from the applicant outlining long-range goals and how this degree will assist in meeting those goals.
~ Official transcripts from University must be submitted.
~ Three references on the applicant’s academic and professional ability. At least two in the applicant’s major field of study.
