Prof. Emerita Geraldene B. Hodelin is a distinguished Jamaican scholar with extensive academic training in Home Economics and Community Studies from Centennial College, Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, and the University of Minnesota. Her career has been marked by outstanding leadership and service, including her tenure as Dean at the University of Technology, Jamaica, and President of the International Federation for Home Economics (IFHE).

Professor Hodelin has made significant contributions to education, research, and the advancement of Home Economics both regionally and internationally. In recognition of her exceptional service, she has received numerous awards, including the Order of Distinction from the Government of Jamaica and the IFHE Distinguished Service Award 2026.
